Andrea and I are returning to the Greek island of Astypalaia for a month this summer (7/6-8/3) to
work on a bioanthropology project run by University College London.  We will be focusing our attention on the Katsalos cemetery which has both adult and juvenile remains.  The students enrolled in the field school will work on the Kylindra cemetery which is the largest infant burial ground in the world.  Here's the link to the bioanthropology project if you want to check it out.

The posts chronicle our daily experiences on the island and will be appropriate for all ages. Hopefully I'll get some great photos into the posts.  No photos of the lab or human remains will be published to insure the privacy of the project.

We leave LAX on the 4th of July, so look for the first posts around that date.

The photo of the Chora is one that I took last year. The rectangular cuts in the foreground are the areas of the Kylindra cemetery that have been excavated.

Stay tuned for more on our adventure.
