Souvlaki

Walking several miles looking for the Kerameikos Cemetery left us exhausted and famished, so we dropped into the first taverna we could find for lunch.  We ordered huge bottles of water and practiced our remedial Greek on the server, who was highly amused at our Greek language skills. He spoke at least three languages fluently Greek, English and Spanish.

Andrea's lunch of kebob souvlaki, tzatziki, fried potatoes and pita bread looks tasty doesn't it? I had chicken souvlaki with rice and potatoes.  There is not picture of my lunch because I scarfed it down before Andrea had a chance to take a picture of it.  You will have to use your imaginations my friends.

I promise more food pictures soon.
