Road Work

Walking up the main road today we ran into some road work.  We noticed these bags of material being dropped at the side of the road, but had no idea what they were for.  A little way up the road we encountered this man opening the bags and filling the numerous potholes on the street with the contents.  Astypalaia road work! The road is narrow, and cars and motorcycles just zigged and zagged around this worker as he filled the potholes.

I have no idea what the name of this road is, none of the streets have names.  If you want to mail a package to one of the locals, you just send it to their name, Astypalaia, Dodecanese Islands.  No street name or number.  I can't imagine how this works, but somehow it does.
