Lucky Kitty

Anyone who has read my Greek blog in previous years knows that I am traumatized by the great unchecked hoard of feral cats living on Astypalaia.  The cats are underfed, flea bitten, not spayed or neutered and without any vet treatment.  You often see a cat who has lost an eye or an ear over battles for food and territory.  It is a terrible situation to encounter if you are an animal lover.  My cats are so spoiled compared to these kitties.

This black and white cat scored a big prize from a kind local fisherman. The kitty sidled up to the boat and the man threw him a small fish.  I got this shot of him as he was darting across the parking lot with his dinner.  Kitty won't go hungry tonight.
