The pirate store

On one of the steep sets of stairs down to the port is the beloved pirate store. The owner is often sitting at the cafe at the bottom of the steps having a coffee. When he notices people entering his store he sidles up the incline and surprises his unsuspecting customers. Reminds me a bit of a spider tending his web.



You can buy all sorts of goodies here, including jewelry, dresses and Astypalaian souvenirs. Of course there is some pirate themed merchandise and a few pictures of Johnny Depp.



Many of the dresses are flashy resort wear. People really dress in some wild animal print clothing here. You could get a zebra print dress or a tiny leopard print bikini all at the pirate store and be sporting island style.
