Sorry about the radio silence from the blog. I have been having extreme technical difficulties, some due to sluggish or non-existent wi-fi connections. Operator error on my part is also a contributing factor. Thanks to Jeff and Billy who are trying to solve problems remotely for me.

We got a very warm welcome on the island. Simon picked us up at the airport and whisked us off to our studio where we were met in the driveway by Frosso our landlady. When she opened the door to our room we were pleasantly surprised to find a haul of goodies. Besides the watermelon that I am holding, we got water, jam, three kinds of biscuits, coffee, milk, home canned peaches and a grocery bag full of peaches and nectarines.

Then our neighbors brought us a bowl full of hand picked tomatoes. Greek salad tonight!

We were overwhelmed with Greek hospitality and made to feel very welcome.

We are both doing well and hope to update you soon on the blog.
