Night life
- Posted using BlogPress from my iPad
Here is a night shot of people out on the town. The island comes alive at night, it is the coolest time of the day to be outside. People gather at the bars and tavernas to have dinner or drinks with friends and family. That small cage on the lower left of the shot usually has an octopus or two hanging inside.
Partying continues until dawn, and when we walk up the hill to the lab in the morning we are often greeted by tipsy people who have been drinking all night. Many stop into the bakery to by a sober up pastry before they stumble home to bed. We buy pastry to power ourselves through a morning of sieving dirt/rock and identifying bone frags.
We have to be at the lab by 7am, so I am not one of the late night revelers.
More soon
