Travel to Greece

How many flights with delays does it take to get from LAX to Athens? The answer is 3! We were delayed leaving LA, Atlanta and Paris.

Andrea and I got our daily exercise in Paris by running the half marathon between gates. Alas, exercise was all we got because we missed our connecting flight. Things started to look up once we were on the ground in Athens. Although we had been awake for over 24 hours, we made it onto the Metro and into the Acropolis area of the city. I highly recommend taking it, as it is cheap, clean and fast.

We stayed at Athens Gate Hotel, it was fabulous. We had a rather large balcony that looked over the ruins of the Temple of Zeus, pictured above.
Saturday we had a fabulous breakfast at the hotel under the shadow of the Acropolis.
